Wilderness Guide, part-time administrative support for the school's office, Board member and mother of 3 children, Petra is dedicated to support meaningful Rites of Passage in the wilderness and in the urban jungle of our humaness.  Truly taking one's place in the world has been (and continues to be) a life long inquiry and practice for her and is at the heart of her work.

Through her personal journey with breast cancer, Petra is also called to offer the container of the Rite of Passage ceremony to meet and hold those of us that are cracked open by illness, loss or grief, to validate and empower our individually unique ways to heal and transform our lives.  Click here to go to her blog on Cancer as a Rite of Passage.

Petra works with 4 Shields teachings, council, healing rituals and nature ceremony and has been a vision fast guide for over 20 years.   Her wilderness training in the U.S. began at the Bear Tribe, founded by Chippewa medicine man, Sun Bear, and was concluded at the School of Lost Borders with Steven and Meredith Foster in 1995.  Born and raised in Germany, Petra is also a licensed practitioner of naturopathic medicine.
