Sam Burris-DeBoskey

Sam is a farmer, a council carrier, a carpenter-in-training, and a rite-of-passage guide.  He first came to the Owens Valley in 2006 as a participant in the SOLB's youth program.  Since then, he has made a part time home outside of Big Pine and has assisted and participated in a number of school programs.  His love of nature, both human and wild, has lead him to this work and fuels his curiosity to keep learning about how we relate to ourselves, each other, and the environment.  Some of his other interests are writing and reading poetry, playing basketball, and baking pies.
